Amanda N. Jackson is a PhD student in Economics at Howard University whose work explores crisis governance, financial systems, and distributional outcomes in American political economy. Drawing on her professional background in consumer protection, corporate accountability, and economic justice advocacy, she examines the conditions under which state interventions during periods of crisis reproduce existing inequalities or create opportunities for repair.
Prior to doctoral study, Jackson spent more than 15 years in grassroots organizing, campaigning, and policy advocacy. She has helped secure more than $9 million in corporate economic commitments, including contributions to a reparations fund for survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
Her work has been featured in Reuters, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Politico, Business Insider, and other outlets.
